Game description
Shenmue is a series of open world martial arts RPGs originally released on the Dreamcast, with the first two games later ported to Xbox and then remastered in HD for Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. Shenmue III was released on PS4 and Steam.
The Steam version of the I & II HD remasters removed the ability to enable original Japanese language versions from the games' settings, but it can be modded to play in Japanese, as the necessary files are all still included in the installation.

Used ShenmueHDTools to unpack the Steam version of Shenmue I & II, and then ShenmueHDSubsRebuild to cleanly extract the text from the SUB files.
Shenmue III has yet to be dumped.
